20th Century Fox Remaking 'Clue'
Based on the 1985 film, itself based on the Hasbro board game, 20th Century Fox has taken over attempts to turn Clue into a contemporary feature film, after Universal failed to get it off the ground back in 2011.
Gore Verbinski was attached to produce and possibly direct back in 2011, yet his current attachment is unknown. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama were on board for script duties, set to turn the single-house parlor mystery into a globe-trotting thriller.
Josh Feldman is producing for Hasbro Studios, with Ryan Jones executive producing. The game was originally released back in 1948. The 1985 film was directed by Jonathan Lynn and starred Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren and Eileen Brennan.
