For every $1 he was paid, the film made on average $6.10
If you're not familiar with Kevin James, he's basically that actor who plays the same role in every single film he makes.
To be fair to James, his last three films have all brought in a profit, just. Zookeeper is his biggest recent success, even if it's not a massive success in the grand scheme of things. His 2011 film, The Dilemma with Vince Vaughn, just squeaked into profit, which is not a good thing considering Vaughn is a pretty big name. His most recent film, Here Comes The Boom, limped home a pretty bog standard return proving James doesn't really boast any real drawing power.
What puts James fairly high on this list is the fact he receives large fees to star in poor to moderate films. You could say he's a smart business man simply because he makes a good living of making average stuff. But what he really is, is an actor who has found an audience and is happy to churn out the same comedic performance and milk that cash cow.
