Aaron Paul joins the cast of Westworld season 3
Jesse Pinkman is headed to Westworld!!? Yeah science fiction!
In somewhat surprising casting news, we have learned Breaking Bad alum - Aaron Paul - has joined the cast of HBO's Emmy-winning series Westworld.
Sources at Deadline, confirm Paul has joined the cast where he is said to be a "series regular". In Westworld terms, it's not totally clear if that's Evan Rachel Wood or Jeffrey Wright ‘series regular’ status or recurring such as season 2's Zahn McClarnon, Betty Gabriel, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Peter Mullan's characters. I’m guessing the latter but either way this is awesome news.
Showrunners, Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have already teased plans for a “radical shift” that will play off Season 2’s somewhat grim finale. It’s a sure bet season three will continue to explore Delo’s plans to fully achieve human consciousness and AI, placing our four remaining main characters - Charlotte, Dolores, Bernard, and William - in a ‘real world’ time shift.
HBO has yet to announce a release date for Season 3.
