'Deadpool 2' first image: Introducing Zazie Beetz' "Domino"
Ryan Reynolds tweeted a first look photo introducing Atlanta star Zazie Beetz as fellow mutant mercenary "Domino" from 20th Century Fox's Deadpool 2.
The tweet sees actor Zazie Beetz laying on a Deadpool-skin rug, with the caption, “Some people just know how to work a red carpet #Domino #Deadpool2." Reynolds tweet also solicited an immediate thumbs up from Deadpool and Domino comic-book artist Rob Liefeld.
The folks at SuperBroMovies were also kind enough to share a closer look teasing Domino's (aka Neena Thurman's) look, revealing a contrast to her comic-book attire covering everything but her head, along the white facial marking that mirrors but inverts the comic book visual of the character co-created by Rob Liefeld.
I'm speechless.
"Deadpool 2" is produced by Ryan Reynolds and directed by David Leitch (Atomic Blonde, John Wick), and features the return of Deadpool's screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The rest of the cast includes Leslie Uggams, who will return as Blind Al, Deadpool’s roommate; Jack Kesy as an unspecified villain; T.J. Miller as Weasel; and Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Deadpool’s fiancée.
“Deadpool 2” is expected to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
