Georgina Campbell Joins 'Krypton' as Female Lead
Deadline reports that Syfy has cast Georgina Campbell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) as the female star for the Krypton pilot. The new series is a prequel set two generations prior to the destruction of Superman's home planet.
The series will follow Superman's grandfather as he fights to redeem his family's honour and save his beloved world from chaos. Campbell will play Lyta Zod, part of Krypton's military caste and daughter of General Alura Zod. She is a cadet having a forbidden romance with Seg-El, who has not been cast yet.
David S. Goyer executive produces, along with Damian Kindler, who is also showrunner. Colm McCarthy will direct the pilot, which is written by Goyer and Ian Goldberg.
