Max Landis' Spec Script 'Deeper' Lands in Bradley Cooper's Lap
Bradley Cooper has attached himself to Max Landis' spec script Deeper, which has Kornel Mundruczo (White God) attached to direct.
Paramount, Lionsgate and Searchlight are among various studios looking at the project, so a deal should be made shortly.
The spec was announced last November and followed a former astronaut hired to take a submersible to the lowest point in the ocean. As the submersible gets closer to its destination, supernatural events start to get involved.
The seas are rarely explored at a science-fiction or fantasy angle, which often sticks to exploring what's beyond our stars.
The concept certainly sounds interesting, and Landis has already been successful with Netflix's acquisition of another of his spec scripts, Bright, which has David Ayer and Will Smith on board.
