Preview for Fear the Walking Dead
Based on the highly watched The Walking Dead TV series, depicted from the comic books, Fear The Walking Dead is a spin off series that gives us a fresher look on how events played out during the start of the catastrophic zombie outbreak.
The show will focus on a band of working class civilians, played by Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa) and Kim Dickens (Madison Clark), who are the two predominant characters trying to survive and cope through bleak situations, that get worse day by day as the population starts to plummet.
As things grow desperate for the survivors, their main objective is to keep their families safe through all that is going on around them. From the original series, we were only shown slight glimpses on how civilisation crumbled but now with Fear The Walking Dead, fans can now have answers and an exact look how everything played out.
Now in a bigger location like Los Angeles, our new group will now face bigger problems as the stakes are raised through a more populated area.
Robert Kirkman is still heavily involved in the project, which gives me confidence for the new series, as I hope he will continue and bask in the same success he had from the original series, and that we can associate ourselves to these characters and feel a connection as we do with most of The Walking Dead characters. I have high expectations for this new series, as do a majority of The Walking Dead fans. Let's hope for some interesting character development and back story and an innovative plot story that keeps us engaged. Fingers crossed!
