Sidney Kimmel Acquires Rights to Children's Tale 'PAX'
Sidney Kimmel Entertainment has won the film rights to the New York Times bestselling children's book PAX by Sara Pennypacker. The rights were won from a bidding war.
The story is about a boy who is separated from his pet fox and the efforts they both go to to try and find one another. It is set against the backdrop of war.
The word Pax means 'peace' in Latin, and in writing it Pennypacker was inspired by reports of children being injured, displaced and orphaned by wars around the world, and was moved to write a novel exploring these costs of war.
