Hi, I'm Bryce Dallas Howard. Hi, I'm Seth Rogen. Hi, I'm Will Reiser. I am Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Hi, I'm Anna Kendrick.
Seth Rogen: I find one of the most helpful, like parts of the movie making process, is how an, I mean this is the only word I have for it... How kind of selfishly people view their own rules. In a very good way. I think like as a writer, you focus on the main story and the main characters. But then when people get cast, that's when they really like go: ok, I'm playing this person. What do I need. What else can this character do. They didn't think of this. They didn't think of that. And from my experience, that's when the real texture gets added to the movie. Joe, why don't you talk about how you, I'm mediating now... You're too slow a mediator.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: Well, I mean, it all happened kind of normally. Except at an accelerated pace. I got a script, but I had to read it right away. And decide right away. Because you guys where already like four days into production.
Will Reiser: I think we gave you 90 minutes to read the script.
Seth Rogen: It was a short script. We gave you real time.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: ... But in the end it was this really fantastic opportunity to do a really good movie. Because I ended up really liking the script. And flew up to Vancouver that night to go meet you guys.
Seth Rogen: I remember you booked you're own travel. Which I thought was very impressive. Not a lot of people...
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: It was probably my mom actually.
Seth Rogen: That's even more impressive to me.
Will Reiser: So Anna plays Katherine, who is a 24-year-old therapist. She's in training to get her... She's in school to get her doctorate. Do you wanna talk a bit about your character.
Anna Kendrick: Yeah, sure. I don't know. You said, I'm like a therapist.
Seth Rogen: Procedurally, was it different than other movies you have done?
Anna Kendrick: I like the idea that when something wasn't working or somebody wanted to change something about a scene, it was like get Adam and Joe in here. And that was always a given. It was always like at least six people in a room and not just two people going off and then saying: we have decided to do this. That was nice.
Bryce Dallas Howard also talks about playing Rachael. The not-so-great girlfriend.
