For every $1 he was paid, the film made on average $10.70 (source Forbes)
Starting us off is Ryan Reynolds. His last three films have been… okay. All have returned their budgets and turned in profits, but I beg the question; How much of it was down to Ryan Reynolds?
He most certainly wasn't the reason everyone went to go see Ted. That film made a staggering $450million profit and that definitely wasn't because of Reynolds. Safe House made a good return, again not solely because of Reynolds, Denzel probably played more than his fair share. The Change-Up in all likelihood was built on Reynolds' market value and out of his last three films, that film brought in the lowest profit.
Reynolds is one of them actors that Hollywood have tried for years to build as their "next big star" - and judging by his position on this list, they're seemingly still trying.
Last Three Films;
The Change-Up - Budget $52million returning $75million
Safe House - Budget $85million returning $208million
Ted - Budget $50million returning $549million
