A Black and White Cut of 'Logan' is in the Works
Early in the marketing campaign for Logan, we got a series of photos from the set in gorgeous black and white. Obviously, that's not a theme they've run with for the theatrical release, but there may be a black and white cut of the film on the way, ala Mad Max: Fury Road.
Prompted with the question by a fan on Twitter, Mangold said this:

Expect it to be a home video release, but that probably won't harm it as it storms the box office on its way to a $170 million worldwide opening.
The process of changing a film shot in colour to black and white is quite a process, so if Mangold is working on it then it means he truly believes the film fits the mold. It will take time and effort, as well as a lot of love, to make it happen, and it sounds like a promising way to experience the film.
Logan releases wide on March 3. For now, let's get excited about the colour version.
