A Harley Quinn Solo Movie is in the Works
THR is reporting that Warner Bros. is moving forward with a Suicide Squad spin-off, capitalising on Harley Quinn's massive popularity with a Margot Robbie-led solo film spotlighting Harley Quinn.
Robbie is set to star in and produce the film, which is untitled at this stage. THR is also reporting that the film will be taking an interesting new angle, focusing on several DC comics female heroes and villains.
Names such as Batgirl and the Birds of Prey have cropped up, reportedly, though no confirmation on any of these has been given. There is also a script already in the works, though we don't know who the screenwriter is.
So there are plenty of holes in the report, but its exciting nonetheless. Warner Bros. is clearly exhibiting a show of faith and confidence in Suicide Squad's leading lady. Now, time for speculation as we wait for August's release of the next DC film.
