A Third FX Anthology Series from Ryan Murphy sees Jessica Lange Starring for 1960's Hollywood 'Feud'
Ryan Murphy has become one busy man in the world of television. He's by no means interested in slowing down either, now setting up a third anthology series, which FX has of course given straight-to-series order for, of 8 episodes long.
The first season will detail the legendary riff between actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis on the 1962 film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Jessica Lange will play Crawford while Susan Sarandon will play Davis.
The new series, titled Feud, includes Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis, and Dominic Burgess. Murphy's work can be alienating to some viewers, and I'm personally not particularly fond of American Horror Story. That said, The People vs. O.J. Simpson has proven to be an enormous critical hit, and this period work in 1900's Hollywood sounds like a lot of fun.
Murphy will executive produce alongside Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner, while Murphy will also direct several episodes.
