AFI Adds Star Wars: The Force Awakens to Their Best of 2015 List
Well, that was fast. The American Film Institute has added Star Wars: The Force Awakens to their list of ten best films for 2015.
The film joins the ranks alongside The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, Carol, Inside Out, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, Room, Spotlight and Straight Outta Compton.
For television, Better Call Saul has joined Mr. Robot and Game of Thrones, among others, on the list of best series for the year.
The AFI awards "celebrate the year's most outstanding achievements in the art of the moving image - with 10 films and 10 television programs deemed culturally and artistically significant."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has received resoundingly positive feedback in a very short amount of time, a claimed return to form for a series that many call an adventure hearkening back to years past.
