Alan Menken
Alan Menken can be largely credited with helping Disney achieved their incredible success in the 1990’s. Menken wrote almost every single note of all those Disney themes from that decade, with the notable exception of The Lion King. It’s staggering to think how many great songs Menken has been responsible for, yet he goes largely unknown. He won four Oscars over a six year period for his work, unbelievable.
