Alden Ehrenreich Cast as Han Solo for 'Star Wars' Spin-Off
Disney and Lucasfilm have, after an extensive search, found Harrison Ford's replacement to play a young Han Solo in the upcoming spin-off.
Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) has been cast in the standalone film, which is set to detail the young smuggler's early life before meeting up with Luke, Leia and the rest. No further details have been revealed and production is not expected to start until January.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing the film, with Kathleen Kennedy producing. The film arrives May 25, 2018.
