Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Emmanuel Lubezki Working on VR Short Film
Alejandro G. Iñárritu is following up back-to-back directing Oscars with a virtual reality project, which will see him team with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. The project is being produced and financed by Legendary Entertainment.
Iñárritu will work with Lucasfilm's new VR department, ILMxLAB. The short film itself will revolve around the them of Immigration. "The immersive virtual reality piece will explore the intense and excruciating experience of a group of immigrants and refugees crossing the border between Mexico and the United States.'
Lubezki is also no stranger to award-winning triumph, with three Oscars in a row for his work including the previous two films with Iñárritu. He's lined up for a film with Alfonso CUaron, while the director is yet to put forward a new feature film project.
