Alex Kurtzman, 'Star Trek Discovery' EP, Lands Overall Deal with CBS
Alex Kurtzman's production company, Secret Hideout, has signed an overall television, multi-year deal with CBS TV Studios. The pact ensures CBS exclusive rights to produce all TV content created and developed by the company.
Kurtzman's upcoming Star Trek TV revival, Discovery, will be the first project under the banner. Kurtzman co-created and executive produces alongside Hannibal's Bryan Fuller, with a premiere slated for May 2017.
“David Stapf and his team have been incredibly supportive and tremendous creative collaborators,” stated Secret Hideout’s Kurtzman and Kadin in a statement. “As Secret Hideout begins to develop and produce new properties and ideas and as the landscape of television evolves, we are thrilled to be working alongside them for the next four years.”
