AMC announces an After-Show for 'Preacher'
After-show's have become something of a tradition on AMC, so it was only a matter of time before a new one was announced to accompany the upcoming drama Preacher.
Hype is certainly sky-high for the series, which has seen remarkable praise in its early release to critics and at select public screenings. The story follows reverend Jesse Custer as he's possessed by a strange entity and sets out on a literal search for God. Executively produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, with Breaking Bad's Sam Catlin as showrunner, the show promises to be wild in similar fashion to its source material.
AMC has now announced the after-show, to be hosted by after-show veteran Chris Hardwick. Two of these will air, following the 90-minute premiere and the season 1 finale, in much the same way that Better Call Saul hosted one for each bookending-episode.
The first episode of the show, which is aptly titled 'Talking Preacher,' will feature Rogen and Goldberg, as well as Catlin and star Dominic Cooper. The series premieres May 22.
