AMC Sees Ratings Slip for 'Fear the Walking Dead' Midseason Premiere
Fear the Walking Dead returned on Sunday night, and saw a decrease in viewers after the two month hiatus. With 6.7 million tuning in for the season 2 premiere and 4.4 for its midseason finale, the numbers continue to fall for the latest premiere.
The midseason launcher saw 3.9 viewers tune in. Compare that to The Walking Dead, which saw its season 6 midseason premiere reel in 13.98 million viewers and its finale with 14.19 million.
Fear was still the top rated cable series of the week alongside Rizzoli & Isles, and had to compete with the closing ceremony for the Rio Olympics.
