'American Gods' Adds Three Names to its Ever-Growing Cast
Starz's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods is well and truly rolling, with three new names added to the cast in three curious roles.
Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) fills the role of Mad Sweeney, described as "a down on his luck leprechaun, who is having a hard time understanding how he lost his charm and way."
Along with Sweeney come the characters Bilquis and Technician Boy. Bilquis is an ancient goddess of love, played by Nigerian actress Yetide Badaki, while Technician Boy is a "New God" of technology, played by Bruce Langley.
American Gods pits the ancient gods against a new host of gods who embody the modern world's reliance on money, technology, media, celebrity worship, and drugs. Protagonist Shadow Moon will be played by Ricky Whittle and the show is being spearheaded by Hannibal's Bryan Fuller.
