'American Horror Story' Season 6 Premieres on Par with 2015's 'Hotel'
With plenty of mystery and intrigued left over from the season 6 premiere of American Horror Story: Roanoke, the series maintains its staying power with solid ratings numbers to match last season's Hotel.
The sixth premiere in the anthology series saw 3.572 million viewers among adults 18-49 for a 2.8 rating. 5.14 million tuned in for its 10PM airing. This puts the show at the top for its debuting night, in both broadcast and cable.
Roanoke has dropped just 7% from the debut of Hotel, which utilised Lady Gaga as a big drawing point for that particular new season. Here, we don't see Lady Gaga. Really, we only see three major characters barring a couple of notable appearances at the end of the episode.
The premiere was up 154% from the season finale of Hotel, which is perhaps indicative of the sour taste the over-the-top season left in the mouths of fans and critics.
