An 'American Horror Story' Crossover Season is on the Way Between 'Coven' and 'Murder House'
Entertainment Weekly's PopFest hosted Ryan Murphy, creator of American Horror Story, who took time to discuss the future of the series along with some of the cast. He brought with him some interesting hints at where the show is headed.
Asked to elaborate on earlier hints that the series will revisit season 3's Coven storyline, Murphy said that "we do know what we're going to do. It's not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that's a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre."
"There will be characters from Murder House and characters from Coven together," Murphy added, following a positive crowd reception to the news. "I've started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, 'I think in this window, if you could fit us in.' So yeah, it's fun. It's weird."
Scheduling issues mean that season 7 will not be the crossover season, allowing for a much higher possibility for former fan-favourite actors to give the thumbs up to the project.
While Coven is one of the more popular seasons the anthology has produced, I can't help but rank it near the bottom. It completely lacked on the show's premise and suffered severe faults in its narrative and mythology.
