Ant-Man and the Wasp kick off production with a special PSA
Marvel kicked-off production with a special 14-second video featuring Ant-Man and the Wasp's production chairs. As you would have guessed, they're tiny.
Set after the events of Civil War, the sequel to 2015's $519 million dollar smash hit marks the much anticipated return of Paul Rudd's Scott Lang aka "Ant-Man", Evangeline Lilly as Hope aka "Wasp" and the original "Ant-Man" Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Ant-Man and the Wasp will also mark the return of Scott Lang's ex-wife Maggie (Judy Greer) and fiance Paxton (Bobby Cannavale), daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson), along with Lang's crew, Luis (Michael Pena), Dave (Tip “T.I.” Harris), and Kurt (David Dastmalchian).
The sequel will also introduce a few new characters, including Michelle Pfeiffer, who will play Janet van Dyne, the mother of Lilly’s character, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, and Randall Park as "Jimmy Woo" - S.H.I.E.L.D Agent.
The fine folks at MoviePilot wrote up an awesome piece about how the potential cross-over between Ant-Man and the Wasp and Spider-Man: Homecoming could lead Wasp's featured villain "Ghost" (played by Hannah John-Kamen) to obtain invisibility technology from Vulture's tech guru "Tinkerer."
Ant-Man director Peyton Reed returns to helm Marvel Studios’ action-adventure. The screenplay comes from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari, and Paul Rudd.
Check out the teaser along with a new synopsis. Ant-Man hits theaters on July 6, 2018!
