Antoine Fuqua circling "105 and Rising"
Antoine Fuqua is looking to direct the blacklist script, 105 and Rising. Written by Andrew Cypiot, 105 and Rising is peaking studio interest now that Fuqua has expressed a desire to direct. Compared to Black Hawk Down, 105 and Rising logline is as follows: Amidst the chaos of a falling nation on April 29, 1975, the objective was clear: safely evacuate all remaining Americans from Saigon. But to Major Jim Kean and Ambassador Graham Martin, the moment represented something else: the final opportunity to uphold promises and obligations to the people of South Vietnam, who will be murdered if they aren’t evacuated. They saved close to 2,000, making this one part Black Hawk Down and one part Argo, potentially.
The drama is expected to feature an ensemble cast led by two stars in the roles of Major Jim Kean and Ambassador Graham Martin. Fuqua wants to start production on the fall of Saigon based movie in the fall.
