'Arrival' Returning to Theaters Following its Eight Oscar Nominations
Arrival is going to make a splash at the Academy Awards, which is fantastic for genre filmmaking. Denis Villeneuve's film has been nominated for a number of awards, including Best Picture. Paramount is going to give the film a well-earned victory lap, as they look to re-release it into theaters this weekend.
Having grossed $95 million and with a budget of $47 million, the film has been a roaring success, and does plenty to aid in confidence for fans looking to Blade Runner 2. If there's one shame to come out of all this, it's that Amy Adams was overlooked for a Best Actress nomination, both for Arrival and for Nocturnal Animals.
