Avatar 2 Joins Hotly Anticipated Trio of Films Set for April Production Launch
We already reported that Wolverine 3 is set to begin production in April, and now we can add Avatar 2 and Alien: Covenant to the trio of highly anticipated films that will take the next major step toward our screens.
Included in the list of upcoming productions from 20th Century Fox is the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service. It's a list that promises an exciting 2017 for the studio.
Despite having delayed its projected December 2017 release date, James Cameron is still on course to kick off production on the Avatar sequel at around the same time as the Wolverine and Prometheus sequels.
As reported already, Blade Runner 2 is also scheduled to begin filming in July, confirming that Ridley Scott is certainly not slowing down, and particularly in the franchise department. Covenant will kick off production in Sydney, Australia, while Wolverine 3 will begin shooting in New Orleans and New Mexico on the 25th of April.
The Channing Tatum-starring Gambit, spin-off from the X-Men franchise, is set to begin filming in March since changing directing hands from Rupert Wyatt to Doug Liman.
