'Baby Driver' and 'American Gods' to Premiere at SXSW
South by Southwest 2017 has unveiled its features line-up, and included in that is director Edgar Wright's upcoming, highly anticipated Baby Driver. Additionally, Starz's Neil Gaiman adaptation American Gods will premiere its pilot, and there will be a special event cast reunion Q7A for Alien.
125 films will screen over the nine day event, and that's before the rest have been finalised. 84 films will world premiere, with 11 North American premieres and 6 U.S. premieres. The special events, in addition to the Alien panel, include a screening of Mamoru Oshii's Ghost in the Shell, considered one of the greatest animated films of all time. 1930s silent film Earth by Alexander Dovzhenko will also air, with Dakha Brakha performing a live score for the airing.
