'Back to the Future' Producer Frank Marshall Says the Series will Never be Rebooted
In an age of reboots and remakes and sequels and blockbusters, producer Frank Marshall has put his foot down - whatever that amounts to in the long run - by saying that Back to the Future will not ever be rebooted or remade.
"Yeah, as long as I have my say [it's safe]. That one exists just like ET - we're never touching those," he told Yahoo! Movies. He continued on to say that he still loves to watch the beloved 80s trilogy.
Marshall himself is not averse to reboots, having been involved in a number of series revivals such as Jurassic World, the upcoming Indiana Jones revival, and the Boure franchise, which seems set to kick off development on film 6.
