'Batman: The Killing Joke' Will Get a Limited Big Screen Release
Ahead of its August release, the upcoming R-rated animated film from Warner Bros. Batman: The Killing Joke is set to get a release across select theaters for a day in advance of the digital and retail release.
Warner Bros. has partnered with Fathom Events to screen Batman: The Killing Joke on Monday, July 25 at 7:30 PM and 10 PM in limited theaters across the U.S. The screening will have a special introduction from Mark Hamill, who voices the Joker, and a never-before-seen documentary will explore how Hamill was cast, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at how the "disturbing" Joker song and dance number was created.
Tickets go on sale for the screenings June 17. The film reaches digital platforms a day after the screenings. The Blu-Ray and DVD arrive August 2.
