'Batman v Superman' R-Rated Cut Gets a Release Date
The R-rated cut for Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman has gotten an official release date, according to Forbes. The listed date is July 16th, just a few weeks before Suicide Squad opens.
The cut runs 30 minutes longer than the theatrical edition of the film, and includes Jena Malone's unknown character, who was entirely cut from the film, as well as the ill-fated Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen, while there is also a longer ending set to head into the living room of fans left wanting.
With plenty of criticism involving pace and there simply being too much going on, maybe the extended cut will allow some of those cluttered elements to breath a little more.
