Ben Affleck Begins Directorial Follow-Up to Argo
After the enormous success of 2012's Argo, Ben Affleck has been absent from the directors chair. While he had planned for a 2013 production schedule for an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel, Live by Night, he got noticably busy.
He was approached for a role in Gone Girl, which he took. Then he was approached for the role of Batman. Which he also accepted.
The film was intended for a Christmas 2015 release, which obviously isn't happening. However, with his DC work on hold since the conclusion of production for Batman V Superman, it seems he could wait no longer.
Affleck is both director and star of the film, on top of his role as co-writer and producer. Needless to say, he's a busy man these days.
The film is set to release some time in 2017, and features a cast comprising of Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, Chris Messina, and Chris Cooper.
