Ben Affleck Executive Producing on 'Justice League'
Deadline is reporting that Ben Affleck has signed a deal that sees him receive an executive producing credit on Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman v Superman sequel, Justice League. This is in exchange for him helping to "make the film the best it can be."
THR alternatively reports that Affleck will both fine-tune Chris Terrio's script and assist during the post-production phase on the film. Actor and director reportedly developed a strong relationship during Batman v Superman, and that's carried over into the next part of Snyder's DC masterplan.
Reports have been suggesting that there is hostility in the camp between Snyder and the studio, so a skeptic might see this as the studios attempt to nudge some more hands into the kitchen to try and right the ship.
Ben Affleck is widely considered one of the best parts of Batman v Superman, providing a convincing performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman despite plenty of negative buzz early on, which is basically just par for the course in franchise films.
