• David O. Russell (American Hustle)
• Martin Scorsese (The Wolf Of Wall Street)
It would be hard not to see David O. Russell and Martin Scorsese receive nominations for direction. Russell's film has been widely received and Scorsese is a master filmmaker who still has his touch. It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we could see either man giving an acceptance speech.
