Bill Hader Joins Lionsgate's 'Power Rangers' Reboot
Bill Hader is the latest addition to the Power Rangers line-up, playing fan-favourite character Alpha 5. The voice-work is nothing new to Hader, who also offered his vocals to BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Alpha 5 is the robotic assistant to the team and mentor under his friend, Zordon. The film is being directed by Dean Israelite.
There's a long list of screenwriters involved in the film. It stars Dacre Montgomery (A Few Less Men) as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott (The 33) as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G (Empire) as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt) as Zack the Black Ranger. Rounding out the cast are Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Branston as Zordon.
The film opens march 24, 2017.
