'Bleed for This' Boxing Drama Starring Miles Teller Set for November Release
Open Road Films will open boxing biopic Bleed For This wide on November 18. The film stars Miles Teller as boxer Vinny Paz and Aaron Eckhart as trainer Kevin Rooney.
Limited launch is set for November 4, and the wide opening puts it up against Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as well as teen comedy The Edge of Seventeen.
Paz's story has the boxer returning to the ring after breaking his neck in three places in a traffic accident in 1991 while at the peak of his career. Doctors were adamantly against the return, but Paz returned to the gym with his metal halo still on. He went on to win three more titles and retired with a 50-10 record.
