'Breaking Bad' Alum Dean Norris Joins TNT Drama Comedy Series 'Claws'
Breaking Bad's Dean Norris has joined TNT's dark comedy/drama series Claws, which stars Niecy Nash. The network picked up the series for 10 episodes recently, set in a South Florida nail salon and hailing from executive producers Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, and Janine Sherman Barrois.
Directed by Nicole Kassell and written by Eliot Laurence, the series follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous manicruists working at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon, where there is a lot more going on than silk wraps and pedicures, according to Deadline.
Norris will play uncle Daddy, a dangerous Mafia crime boss who is both deeply Catholic and actively bisexual. Initially, Peter Firth played the role in the pilot, but Norris now takes his place going forward. Other members of the cast include Carrie Preston, Harold Perrineau, Jenn Lyon, Judy Reyes, Jack Kesy, Karrueche Tran, Kevin Rankin and Jason Antoon.
