Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart to Star in 'The Intouchables' Remake
International French-language hit The Intouchables looks set for a remake, with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart in negotiations with The Weinstein Co. to star in the project.
The original film followed the unlikely friendship that develops between a white quadriplegic millionaire and his black caregiver, and starred Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy.
Released in 2011, it make roughly $12 million and close to $430 million worldwide. The Winstein Co. has held remake rights since. Simon Curtis is attached to direct from a script by Paul Feig.
Cranston has been busy lately, shooting Fox Comedy Why Him? with James Franco following his Oscar-nominated role in Trumbo. Hart starred in Ride Along 2 and will star in this Summer's Central Intelligence alongside Dwayne Johnson.
