Bryan Fuller Exits 'Star Trek: Discovery' as Showrunner
Bryan Fuller has taken a step back, and will no longer be showrunning CBS All Access' upcoming Star Trek revival series, Discovery. He will, however, remain aboard the project.
Given his enormous schedule, which includes Starz's American Gods and NBC's Amazing Stories, Fuller has deemed it necessary to step back and give himself some time to, well, sleep.
There's no new showrunner at this point, and recently the series was pushed from a January 2017 release to May 2017. Much of the casting has reportedly taken place behind scenes, though the lead female actress has yet to be picked out.
