Bumblebee Spinoff: First look at Hailee Steinfeld's "Charlie Watson"
Hailee Steinfeld debuted a first look image for Paramount's Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee.
Steinfeld's latest Twitter post introduces us to 17-year-old Charlie Watson - who is seen sporting a sleeveless Motörhead tee, ripped denim, and a pair of Nike Zebra Skin Blazers. Watson exudes a tough, independent punk fashion vibe that should make for thee perfect pairing to Bumblebee's vintage VW Beetle discovered in a California junkyard.
Bumblebee, marks the first spin-off and sixth film for Paramount's $4.4 billion dollar series not directed by five-time helmer Michael Bay. This time Kubo and the Two Strings filmmaker Travis Knight will make his live-action debut as director, and Steinfeld will be joined by WWE superstar John Cena in this 80's retro pop action spinoff.
Bumblebee began production two weeks ago and will shoot entirely in the State of California. Christina Hodson (Unstoppable, Shut in) penned the script and the film stars Pamela Adlon, Stephen Schneider, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Ricardo Hoyos, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow and Grace Dzienny.
Bumblebee hits theaters on December 21, 2018.
