Captain America and Iron Man to Star in Spider-Man Solo Outing?
Could Marvel be on the brink of realising the most ambitious Spider-Man film yet?
Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to drop the first full length trailer for Captain America: Civil War but it wasn't long before they turned the conversation to what they would be working on next. Amid jokes that it was hot filming in Atlanta, Downey Jr. said:
"By the way, we are going to be filming in Atlanta again, you and I."
Now, without wanting to send excitement levels soaring, one has to consider what on earth they were talking about. It is more than likely a film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (unless they have both been able to keep a secret project all to themselves) so which one could it be? And which one is being shot in Atlanta?
This could all amount to nothing, but what a treat it would be if we were to see Captain America and Iron Man in Marvel's first Spider-Man adventure. How else is Kevin Feige going to convince the masses to sit through another Spider-Man film, the fifth in what will be fifteen years when it is released and the third reboot? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I sincerely hope this happens.
Nevertheless, we will get our first glimpse of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, with Tom Holland cast as the web-slinger.
Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 5th, 2016.
