Captain America: Civil War takes $38.7 million in first two days overseas
Debuting in 30 international markets, Captain America: Civil War has grossed a massive $38.7 million in its opening two days, topping every market.
Disney has noted that the film is on par with last year's Avengers: Age of Ultron in those same markets. Ultron grossed $946 million internationally.
South Korea has the biggest tally with $7.7 million, followed by France and Brazil with $3.7 and $2.7 million respectively.
Australia grossed $2.4 million on its opening day, which is 3% ahead of the same statistic for Age of Ultron. Germany's opening day reached $1.9 million. The new film will be open to 63% of the international market by Sunday. It could see $200 million, more or less, in its first five days of overseas action.
