Cate Blanchett Eyed for 'Ocean's Eleven' Remake
The female-led Ocean's Eleven remake is trying to pull together an ensemble that rivals that of the early 2000's. With Sandra Bullock leading the film, and Hunger Games director Gary Ross at the helm, another name joins the conversation.
Coming off the back of news that Jennifer Lawrence is in talks to join the film, Cate Blanchett is the latest award-winning actress with eyes set on her. Reports indicate that Blanchett is in early talks to join the film.
Blanchett would, according to reports, play a Brad Pitt-type role accompanying Bullock's George-Clooney-esque part. The film is set in the same universe as its male-led trilogy from over a decade ago.
Lawrence is much less a sure thing, given that the film is aiming for a late fall production start, and given the actress's busy schedule. A working title close to the production are calling the film Ocean's Ocho, indicating that it will be eight, instead of eleven, leading characters.
