CBS's Star Trek TV Series to Film in Toronto this Fall
CBS's new Star Trek series, which will be offered on the All-Access streaming service, is set to film in Toronto, Ontario, CA, announced on Friday. The series starts shooting this Fall, with studio space booked by CBS starting September.
The series was announced last November, and had to put at least six months between itself and Paramount's films before commencing production. It is rumoured to take place between Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation, and will be in-continuity with those (and not the films).
Bryan Fuller is executive producing and showrunning on the show, alongside Alex Kurtzman. He is also showrunner on American Gods, which has begun shooting for Starz.
