Chloe Grace Moretz to Star in 'Suspiria' Remake
Variety is reporting that Chloe Grace Moretz will join Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton in an upcoming remake of Suspiria, the 1977 classic a remake for which has been in the works since 2008.
Luca Guadagnino will direct the film. The film follows Jessica Harper, who joins a prestigious dance academy before learning that it is a front for a coven of modern-day witches.
“The film by Dario Argento was a very indicative moment of growing up for me because I saw it when I was 14,” said Guadagnino. “I think it changed me forever. I was obsessed [with Argento] through all my adolescence. [My version] is going to be set in Berlin in 1977. Its going to be about the mother and the concept of motherhood and about the uncompromising force of motherhood. Its going to be about finding your inner voice the title is very evocative on these grounds.”
