Colin Firth in Talks to Emerge for Biopic Thriller 'Kursk'
Colin Firth is in talks to star in Thomas Vinterberg's Kursk, which is set to dramatise the real-life submarine disaster of 2000 for the big screen.
The disaster claimed 118 lives including sailors and officers on board. The script, written by Rober Rodat (Saving Private Ryan), not onlt details the explosion that caused the sinking of the Russian submarine and subsequent attempt to survive, but also the story of the families back on shore.
While Variety is reporting Firth's negotiations, the actual role is being kept under wraps for the time being. Matthias Schoenaerts is also starring in an undisclosed role.
