Comics and Novels to Accompany New CBS Series 'Star Trek Discovery'
Star Trek has risen in many ways in 2016 as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Now, Bryan Fuller is bringing the series back to the small screen wit Star Trek Discovery, and with its premiere in January, it looks like there's going to be plenty more to satiate fans.
Writer and producer Kirsten Beyer has confirmed that CBS is partnering with IDW Publishing and Simon & Schuster to put out side projects. While there wasn't much said about the actual content, it was confirmed that they'd be out in time for the premiere of the show.
“We’re telling a much more serialized story, to dig deep into a very tantalizing storyline,” the showrunner has said, teasing a less conventional story that won't be told episodically, as such. He compared it to a "novel over 13 episodes."
