Creed 2: Michael B. Jordan’s Next Opponent Is...
Michael B. Jordan’s next in-ring opponent has signed on the dotted line and he’ll go by the last name “Drago.”
Sources for The Tracking Board confirm German-Romanian boxer, Florian Munteanu has been cast to play the son of legendary Russian boxer (and Doper) Ivan Drago, in the sequel to Ryan Coogler’s Creed.
MGM and Warner Bros. casting announcement squashes any speculation of a potential revenge match between Adonis Creed and the man who killed his father, played by the now 56-year old Dolph Lundgren. Three words people: Old Man Strength. Instead, Adonis is set to square-off against the younger, 6 foot 3, 230 lb member of House Drago in a fight to cement family legacy’s. And by the looks of it, Adonis will have his hands full.
So who is Michael B. Jordan’s new opponent? Thanks to Google, we were able to dig up a ton of shirtless pics of the 27-year old Florian Munteanu but not much else. In the name of boxing, our search yielded zero results about Munteanu’s professional boxing record. For what it’s worth at least we know House Drago’s gene pool is strong.
Creed 2 is co-written by Sylvester Stallone and will be directed by newcomer Steven Caple Jr. Stallone, Michael B. Jordan, and Tessa Thompson are set to reprise their roles along with Dolph Lundgren and Florian Munteanu.
