Crispin Glover joins Starz's 'American Gods'
Starz and Bryan Fuller's American Gods adaptation continues to add to its cast, with the latest additions being Crispin Glover (Back to the Future) and Jonathan Tucker (Parenthood).
Adapted from Neil Gaiman's fantasy novel, the story follows the war brewing between the old gods and the new, those of the biblical and mythological sort against a new, upstart pantheon of gods that reflect society's love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs.
Ricky Whittle (The 100) is signed on to lead the series as Shadown Moon, an ex-con turned bodyguard and traveling companion to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), one of the older gods but con man by daylight.
Glover will play Mr. World, the seemingly omniscient leader of the center of the New Gods coalition, who learns that Mr. Wednesday is an immediate and dangerous threat. Tucker plays Low Key Lyesmith, Shadow's confidante in prison.
