'Crystal Skull' Writer to Pen 'Indiana Jones 5'
So Indiana Jones 5 is happening. It's been confirmed, and Spielberg and Harrison Ford are back for the series' revival.
There are just as many people excited for the film as there are people indifferent, but Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm meant that this was always happening.
THR is now reporting that David Koepp will write the screenplay for Indiana Jones 5. Koepp previously wrote Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds, both Spielberg films, while also having Spider-Man and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit to his name. He also wrote Crystal Skull, which many share a fond hatred for (though that script had a heavy hand from George Lucas involved).
No other details are known just yet. The film opens July 19, 2019.
